Hafeziyeh Tomb Sections

South Yard, which is actually the main entrance of the tomb, includes large flower gardens on both sides surrounding two large pools. This southern part is in fact a symbol of materialism. As it approaches the northern part, where Hafez's tomb is located, it is freed from human bonds. By ascending the steps of the porch, it approaches the mystical path, and then descending the stairs is like bowing down in front of the sun, which is actually the tomb. The porch consists of nine steps that evoke the idea of nine heavens.

Central Tomb-A 10-meter-high copper dome has been erected on Hafez' tomb, which symbolizes the sky and is like a Turkish dervish hat. The inner color of the dome is decorated with colors that are a symbol of mysticism, and it is interesting to know that the colors used in this dome each represent a symbol; for instance, the brown color symbolizes the soil, and the turquoise color is the symbol of heaven. Below the dome is a tombstone one meter above the ground on which beautiful poems are engraved.

Four-pillar or twenty-pillar hall-Although this hall has 20 tall stone pillars, it is called the four-pillar hall because the four pillars in the middle date back to the time of Karim Khan. Below this place is a water reservoir that divides the yard into northern and southern parts. On the left side of this place, there are rooms dedicated to the tombs of important people such as Ghavam Al-Saltanah (Qajar and Pahlavi politician).

North area-In this part, the tomb of Hafez and orange trees with two rectangular basins are located. The northern part is a symbol of the kingdom, which consists of 8 entrances and exits. It is interesting to know that 8 columns of the central tomb represent the century in which Hafez lived. It also represents the eight gates of heaven.
