The nature of this region is the habitat of a unique animal species called the Persian squirrel. Caucasian squirrel or Persian squirrels live in areas such as the Zagros, the Eastern Mediterranean, Anatolia and the broad-leaved forests of the Caucasus, which are also found in the nature of the strait. The hair color of the back of this animal is brownish gray, the color of its body is yellow and the color of the hair behind its tail and head is fawn red. The red color of this animal's tail and head is one of the unique features that distinguish it from other squirrels.
