Qazvin Contor Church

Qazvin Contour Church, which is located in the north of Panbeh Riseh neighborhood in Qazvin province, is one of the smallest churches in the world. The church, also known as the Bell Tower and the Russian Church, was built by the Russians during World War II.

Cantor Church, which has an irregular polygonal plan and two domes, is one of the most spectacular attractions in Qazvin province. The large dome is located in the center of the prayer hall and the smaller dome is located above its semicircular altar. The materials used in the building consist of bricks and mortar, which are very artistically arranged, and as a result, a very beautiful building has been obtained. Qazvin Contour Church has an entrance door with Russian crosses engraved on the walls on both sides. Above the entrance is a three-story bell tower with a small turquoise dome. In order to protect the wooden entrance door and the patterns on the walls adjacent to the church, an attic roof with wooden columns has been built in front of the church entrance. In the four corners of the exterior walls of the building, there are large columns of facades that have added to its beauty. The two corners of the first floor of the bell tower, like the prayer hall, have large columns. The main hall and the two small rooms, which are located in the north and south of it, each of which is connected to the outside with horseshoe windows, the emphasis on the implementation of arches and arcs is clearly visible in the niches and entrances of the rooms. The churchyard is made of brick and there are tombstones in the courtyard, one of which belongs to a Russian pilot. The red color of the church, the simplicity and beauty of the building, the gabled domes and the glazed bricks of the Qazvin contor church attract the attention of many tourists. By participating in Persian trips tourism grup, you can go to see this spectacular place in Qazvin province.
